| A
Neosho High School All-School Reunion has been planned for September 30
and October 1, 2005, according to an announcement by Tammy Franks,
co-chair of the NHS Alumni Association.
"If folks move, they need to update with the association,"
Franks said. "We are missing addresses for alumni in the classes of
1990, 1993 and 1997."
Festivities will kick off on Friday, Sept. 30 with a homecoming
parade on the downtown square at 2 p.m. A free tailgate party on the
football practice field south of the bus barns will follow with food,
games and fun for all.
In the evening the annual Rotary Club chili supper in the NHS
cafeteria will be held starting at 5 p.m. at a nominal cost of $4.00
per person. Kick-off time for the homecoming football game between the
Neosho Wildcats and the Seneca Indians is 7 p.m. and will be followed
by a fireworks display co-sponsored by the NHS Booster Club.
The schedule of events for Saturday, Oct. 1, includes breakfast
at the Neosho Methodist Church from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at a cost of $5.00
per person, a golf tournament beginning at 9 a.m. with fees of $50 per
person, and a social on the square and city tour from noon to 3 p.m. at
no charge for the bus. The Newton County Historical Museum will be open
from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a project to paint Reunion Hill (the
street running south from Senior Hill up to Highland Place) will take
place from 3-4 p.m.
The All-School Banquet at a pre-registration cost of $20 per
person ($30 at the door) will be held in the Neosho High School
cafeteria beginning at 5 p.m. The reunion celebration will include City
Limits performing on the Square from 9 to midnight and Bill Pearson and
Friends performing in the Neosho Municipal Auditorium from 8 to 11 p.m.
